After two months of resistance, Ukrainians are getting used to the fact that the world will no longer be as it was.
The initial sense of the irrationality, the impossibility of this war has gradually been extinguished. You hear them in the morning, evening and even Easter night. Today these sirens have become part of a daily routine for life in Kyiv. Drawn out and monotone, it echoed over the city for miles around, heralding the start of a new reality. Right then, I heard an air raid siren from the neighboring district. The panes in the windows rattled, car alarms on the street went off, and clouds of frightened ravens lifted into the air. When the gray started creeping across the sky, I heard the next explosion. I woke up my wife, and we started frantically scrolling through Facebook, looking for information about what was going on until we finally figured out that the explosions we were hearing were from Kyiv’s antiaircraft guns. Outside, there was one explosion and then another they sounded like the volleys of distant fireworks. that day, my mom called me from a small town near Lviv and told me war had broken out. I heard the first sounds of sirens in Kyiv on Feb.

Between the 3.0 subclasses, Strand, and new Exotics, we're stronger than ever despite mod nerfs, so even the toughest bosses will fall more easily. Just as importantly, raiders are getting better at figuring out Bungie's design language, and on top of that, Guardians have gotten exponentially stronger since the last raid. Root of Nightmares doesn't seem to have that kind of roadblock. The main hurdles in the infamously long Last Wish race were complex puzzles, for instance, whereas the actual combat was fairly tame. Why was this raid race so much shorter? It's partly a function of how encounters are designed. And at two hours and change, the Root of Nightmares is more on the level of Scourge of the Past and the Eater of Worlds raid lair, which took teams around an hour and a half to clear. Nothing else even comes close to the 18-hour race for Forsaken's Last Wish raid, of course.
